I'm Lauren Nutall, and I am an investigative reporter from Dallas, TX. I am a student at Howard University, where I report for The Hilltop and Howard University's News Service. I am a graduating senior and am completing my Bachelor's in Journalism with a minor in International Affairs. I am a Washington Media Scholar, UNCF/National Geographic Scholar and Pulitzer Center Grant Recipient. I have previously worked at Black Enterprise as a writer and CBS News as an investigative intern in their D.C. bureau. I will be working at Dallas Morning News as an Ida B. Wells Society for Investigative Reporting intern this summer.

In 2023, at 77 years old, Michael Haran suffered a heart attack. It was another blow for the Santa Rosa resident, who was still recovering from aggressive radiation treatment after being diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2022.
